A real winters day with a slight breeze off the river.  As the water level in the river begin to drop so more and more islands appear in the river and with that lots more birds are seen wadding on the banks.  Late this afternoon we were once again graced with 13 ellies and 6 tiny babies in tow.  They are so funny to watch because as they  see the water they begin to run in anticipation of the fun they are about to have.  As quickly and as quietly as they appeared, 15 minutes  later they were gone.
