First time golfer?

We all have to start somewhere, and if your first time hitting the greens is when on holiday at Kambaku, we’re going to share a few tips that you can use to make the most of your experience.

1. Stretch your muscles

Like with any sport, it is important to be relaxed before you take to the course. Doing a few warm up exercises beforehand and making sure that you have stretched properly before you play a round will not only make the game run a lot more smoothly but it will also prevent injury.

2. Have a good meal and stay hydrated

The amount of energy you will be using when golfing, what with the swinging of irons and the distance you will be walking (if you haven’t hired a cart), it is important to have eaten properly before you set out. Ensuring that you have enough water to drink along the way is equally important especially if you intend to play golf in either spring or summer when the temperature can get pretty intense. Make sure that you have a bottle of water close by at all times.

3. Dress appropriately

Leopard Creek has a dress code that needs to be abided by. The golf course is quite formal about their attire and it is important that these rules are followed.
